"Old soul" gets thrown around a lot. Usually it means someone who's a little serious, a little wise, maybe not totally at home in the chaos of modern life.

But what if it's not just a compliment? What if soul age is a literal thing — a developmental stage your soul is actually moving through across lifetimes?

That's the foundation of the Soul Ages framework, and it's one of the most useful lenses I know for understanding why you are the way you are, and what is going on with the people all around us.

You see, every soul moves through five stages: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue. Each one has its own curriculum — its own challenges, its own blind spots, its own gifts. Think of it like developmental stages in childhood. You don't skip them. You don't regress. And wherever you are right now is exactly where the work is.

Here's the quick version:

Red — Brand new to human form. Learning what it means to exist in a body, to survive, to have impact.

Orange — Learning to belong. Rules, community, moral structure. Where do I fit and what are the rules here?

Yellow — Breaking free. Individuality, ambition, building something, making a mark on the world.

Green — Turning inward. Deep relationships, self-awareness, learning to actually accept yourself and other people.

Blue — Wrapping it up. Integration, wisdom, spiritual depth, sharing what you've spent lifetimes learning.

I find that most people drawn to this kind of work — reincarnation, soul purpose, why their life looks the way it does — are Green or Blue souls — that's probably you! You've been around long enough to know something else is going on beneath the surface.
