If you've taken the Soul Age quiz, there's a good chance you came back as either a Green Soul or a Blue Soul. At this age, we are very interested in who we are - both on a personality and on a soul level.
But this is also when it gets soooo much harder living on Earth. To look around and see what humanity is capable of — on the dark end of that spectrum. To see how we treat each other. To see the younger souls running the show, and not doing a great job at it.
After lifetimes of learning survival (Red), learning to belong (Orange), and chasing success and individuality (Yellow), the Green Soul finally turns inward, and the Blue Soul goes even deeper on that inward journey, to the source of self. The question shifts from what can I achieve? to who am I, really?
Green souls feel things deeply. They're hyper-aware in relationships — picking up on subtleties, sensing what's unspoken, caring almost too much about the people around them. They're drawn to therapy, healing, self-development, spiritual seeking. They ask the hard questions.
And right behind Green is Blue — the final stage, where all of that work pays off. Blue souls have been through it. The deep relationships, the identity excavation, the asking of hard questions — they've done that work, across more lifetimes than most. What emerges on the other side is a kind of groundedness that other people can feel without being able to explain it. Blue souls are the ones who seem calm when they probably shouldn't be. Who say the thing that reframes everything. Who hold space without needing to fix. They bring a distilled presence into the world. One that calls others to rise up to join them.
Right now there is a lot of chaos and pain in the world. And it is so hard for both the older souls - Green & Blue - to witness it. But we came here on Earth at this time for a reason. The Earth needs us right now, those of us who have been around the block a time or two or 200. To do the work we came here to do, or to simply be a wise, calm presence in the chaos.
There are more of us than you would think. Based on what I've seen, I'd estimate about 30% of the Western world at least are mature or old souls. We are not alone. And I think it's time we start acting our age — not by fixing everyone else, but by doing our own work and doing it more visibly. That is going to look different for everyone: it might mean finally starting that healing practice you've been thinking about, doing the work to transform that challenging relationship — or letting it go, or simply sitting in your calm light and radiating that outward into the chaotic world. It also means finding your people — which is part of why I write this newsletter, and part of why I'm building something bigger for us to gather in. More on that soon. For now: you know what you came here for. Let's get on with it.
